FLINT HILLS PRCA RODEO The Flint Hills PRCA Rodeo, traditionally held on the first weekend of June, is the oldest consecutive rodeo in the state of Kansas. Located in the heart of the Flint Hills, top professional rodeo contestants come to compete in seven traditional rodeo events; Bareback Riding, Tie-down Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc riding, Team Roping and Bull Riding and starting in 2024 Women's Breakaway Roping will be added. Events for kids are included in 3 performances normally held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Slack will be held Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. A parade, dances, and several other community activities round out these 3 days of "Rodeo at it's Best!” FLINT HILLS RODEO ASSOCIATION INC. Located on Hwy. 50, Strong City, Kansas, our arena (which seats approximately 6000) is used for rodeos, bull rides, concerts, etc. Our grounds have bathrooms (with shower facilities) and a covered dance floor that are available for dances, reunions and other events..
